Brighton Beach is one of the first landing areas used by the Allied forces during the Gallipoli Campaign in 1915. It was initially considered as a possible landing site for the ANZAC troops, but the steep terrain and difficult coastal conditions led the main landing to take place at nearby ANZAC Cove instead.
Today, Brighton Beach is a peaceful and reflective location along the Gallipoli Peninsula. Visitors can observe the coastline and imagine the challenging conditions soldiers faced during the early hours of the campaign.

The Nek
The Nek is one of the most famous battlefields of the Gallipoli Campaign. This narrow ridge became the site of a tragic and intense battle on 7 August 1915, where Australian soldiers launched a series of assaults against Ottoman positions.
Due to the narrow terrain and heavy defensive fire, the attack resulted in significant casualties within a very short period of time. Today, The Nek stands as a solemn reminder of the bravery and sacrifice of the soldiers who fought during the Gallipoli Campaign.
Visitors can see the memorials and learn about the dramatic events that took place at this historic location.

Johnston’s Jolly
Johnston’s Jolly is another important battlefield site on the Gallipoli Peninsula where fierce fighting occurred between the Ottoman and Allied forces during the campaign.
Today, the area contains well-preserved trenches from both sides, allowing visitors to clearly see how close the opposing soldiers were during the battles. The site also includes the Turkish and Allied memorials, representing the shared history and sacrifices made during the conflict.
Johnston’s Jolly offers a powerful insight into the realities of trench warfare during World War I.
